Love Letter PDF Print E-mail

Ah yes, Citizen Wilson receives a love letter.

Please allow me to post the love letter I received this morning:

"This is an enquiry e-mail via http://www.iheartregina.com from: pat fiacco < This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it >

why do you have such a hard on for the sign bylaw.
Fuck you, sobeys, the Zooks, Bob hughes and all the other haters.

eat it O---.."

Citizen Wilson replies: I have a hard on for the sign bylaw? Actually, I have big throbbing boner for doing what is right, equitable and just. In my opinion, that would mean abiding by the laws, making rational decisions, being fair to all folks and enforcing the laws equally. But obviously I'm matching wits with an unarmed opponent.

By your extremely eloquent response, and mastery of the English language (plumbers version, amended), you obviously have a limited thought range, a stunted view of the world, and quite the hidden agenda.

All I really have to say to such childish drivel is: I'm made of rubber, you're made of glue. Anything you say bounces off of me, and sticks to you.

Citizen Wilson.

1/8. What a brilliant website

Hello there!

What a brilliant website you have here, if I must say.

The very smell of small town mentality that this page wreaks of, is strong enough to induce vomiting in hopes that I can throw up something that would be more tasteful than your morbid sense of moral superiority.

Lets start off. I am a young man, age of 20, and after visiting your page and seeing the "Fan mail" you received from "pat fiacco" - followed by your retort, I have a few comments to make. (No, I don't work at sobeys or any other unionized workforce)

First off. Who cares about a city bylaw? Are you so confined to the bounds that a justice system sets up that any minor infringement that occurs you feel its your obligation to feel outraged about? Sure - Its a bylaw - lets pretend for a minute that we all support every decision our government makes - Its still self expression and bringing attention to the cause. You, sir, have no grasp of the situation at Sobeys more than what you either hear in the news or capture through your eyes as you drive down albert street, with your facial expression, i'm sure, is fixated in a disgruntled manner as you feel violated. So post away, because the overall perception people gather of you of being an ignorant arrogant old man is nothing but excelling.

Second of all, What is the deal with your retort to the message? It was very brief and although childish, obviously got underneath your skin. SO much, you felt necessary to first off post it on your website, followed by coming up with something "witty". Next ingredient in your sweet brew of horse shit, is searching your thesaurus for any possible alternative of words to make yourself look more intelligent.

Although you believe this would go over well, unfortunately sir, It did not.

Please take time to travel to places larger than two hundred thousand people, and perhaps maybe then you will see why nobody cares about a sign bylaw, nor about a ignorant small minded man who's only venue of SELF EXPRESSION - is an online blog.

Please take up painting or visit a psychiatrist.

Thanks a bunch! I hope you post THIS on your website as I am dieing to see what returning arguments you can make to anything I have said today.

Jay Keuse.

Dearest Horseshit Jay, I can tell you are a young man because you have yet to learn you cannot defend the un-defendable, and it’s not wise to represent the reprehensible.

You claim I know not the struggles at yonder disputed South Albert Sobeys? You claim to know my mind better than I. You may as well claim that I assume the position of lowering my pants and undergarments, grasping my ankles, and let the City and all comers have their lascivious ways with my nether regions? I think not!

Why should I care about a bylaw? Obviously your young mind has not grasped the deeper meaning of 'First they came...' Allowing scofflaws to make mockery of the Fine City of Regina and its fine citizens is but the thin edge of the wedge my young friend. The bylaw is a black and white issue. Either you enforce equally for one and for all, or you lose all credibility. Assessing fines against individual citizens but allowing other groups to go free demonstrates complete disregard for the very citizens who place the politicians in office, and insults those who pay the salaries of the civil servants duplicitously enforcing the laws. It is simply poor leadership, and such ignorance must be pointed out and resolved.

I have lived in large cities, and traveled the widths, heights and breadth of North America and Europe. I do not need a thesaurus as I've been blessed with a vocabulary and a brain. I express myself via newspaper, radio, television and print in various national and international magazines, and now via Internet. If my freedom of expression offends thee, feel free to exercise your freedom to direct your browser elsewhere.

It is most unfortunate you do not read. Since you tend to get most of your understanding and knowledge from the world of TV, let me respond in the style of David Carradine from the series: Kung Fu.

Ahhh grasshopper, like bird in Cow Pattie, singing while in deep shit does little to improve one's home. Bending branches of Bonsai tree strengthens brain and brawn, and make room much nicer.

Translation: working to improve the city is better than sitting in shit complaining.

I enjoy the planet on a whole, but regina has a lot of small town, narrow minded residents like yourself.  So I focus on the big picture.  Cognitive differences aside,  this 'generation' is more upbeat and influencial than yours, you just seem to focus more on stereotypes than the values we hold.

By the way, If we focused on venues of self expression - I bet more people have seen my 'work' - than they have seen yours, sir.

Good day!

Jay the man.

Dear Citizen Wilson

you remind me of a nosey neighbour that everyone on the block hates. Your views are narrowminded here are a few examples to prove this fact

"Why does the RWDSU get a free ride and a pass on illegal signs, but a taxpayer gets screwed?"

the people on the picket line ARE tax payers just like you

"The City of Regina has an official policy of duplicity and will screw the very people who pay for and place the Mayor"

Yet again the people on the picket line are tax payers as well as the many people that support the strike.

"In my opinion, that would mean abiding by the laws, making rational decisions, being fair to all folks"

Workers at the Albert Street sobey's get payed a considerable amount less then most Sobey's stores in the area.  That is not fair so why is wrong for the workers to get there message out there to the public by the use of signs.  It's not like you don't have to look at advertisements and billboards when you drive down the streets anyways.

there are a few examples quit polluting the internet with your bullshit comments about a bullshit law and next time don't call the city come to the picket line and pick up the signs yourself, you jackass.

You just qouted Kung Fu, You are deffinitly the pinnical of cool. And I just looooove this web site you got going here. Makes me wish I started up a web site saying how much I love a city with less the 200,000 people and slightly sounds of a female body part. But you sound like my type of guy. We need to hang out sometime. We could comb our mustaches together and clean our PC's. I have Star Trek seasons on DVD and VHS, we could watch those and then after go steal garage sale signs and giggle! Ever been to the rainbow? OF COURSE YOU HAVE! we can sip cock tails (and by cock tails i really mean Kool-Aid ^.^) and then talk about how each have interests in girls (but really, who are we kidding.) OMG we HAVE to have our mothers meet sometime! and right now your not the only one with a big boner mr.! *wink wink* Anyways this level 67 dwarf must go to bedy bye, Its past 12!!!

Hey Jay Keuse what are you talking about small town mentality? Look at yourself? Mr. 20 year old I know everything. How many countries you been to? 4 or 5? Let me guess…5 star hotels? Until you’ve lived in more than 3 countries in your life for more than 2 years at a time don’t talk about small town mentality. Your view of the global world is Calgary or Cancun at best. At least someone is taking a stance on something unjust with our system. Instead you just complain like too many others in this province.

I think you are the one who doesn’t grasp the situation at Sobey’s. The union is working for the best interests of the union and not for the employees.

If you don’t like it then leave. We don’t want bums who just sit on their butt and complain, there’s too many in this city and province. So what’s stopping you from leaving Jay? Scared? I thought you’ve been everywhere. There you go complaining but do nothing like all those “small town folk” you hate.

And funny how you comment on the only venue of self expression is an online blog. Oh, fancy meeting you here Jay Keuse.

iLuvRegina
