On the front page of today's (Sept 28, 2006) Leader Post, the big issue is: When the Rolling Stones come to Regina, should the City enforce their NO SMOKING bylaw? Taylor (Mosiac) Field is supposed to be a non-smoking environment, yet, certain members of the Rolling Stones would prefer to 'light up' on stage while performing. While the City of Regina itself is no stranger to SELECTIVELY enforcing its own bylaws, the irony that the City of Regina is actually pausing to consider its own duplicity about the issue is not lost on Wilson. Is perhaps Citizen Wilson finally getting through to the powers that be? Are the City of Regina and it's officials begining to realize that they look more than a little silly in the public's eyes? I guess this is one where Jim Holmes of the CCFR will have to stand up for the minority, and DEMAND that the smokers have their way (see Jim's stand on minority rule here). Come on Pat, take a stand. Mr. Richard's right to smoke ends where my nose begins! (P.S. A tip of the hat to Loony
